New roofs
A new roof is not just new tiles. Once the old covering is off you can see the battens, the felt and the timbers, and that is where most of the real problems are. Rotten battens, felt that has gone brittle, a rafter that has been taking water for years. We sort all of that before anything goes back on.
Everything is stripped, checked and re-covered, and the ridge and verges are bedded or dry fixed depending on the roof. We clear as we go and take the old materials away. You get a roof that is right underneath, not just one that looks tidy from the pavement.

Chimney repairA standard semi is usually three to five days once the scaffolding is up. A big or complicated roof can run to a fortnight. Weather moves it, and we will tell you if it is going to.
For a full re-roof, yes. It is the only safe way to strip a roof and it keeps the tiles and the mess off your garden. Scaffolding is in the quote, not added on later.
Usually. Most Peterborough estates use tiles that are still made. For older clay or slate we source reclaimed where we can and show you a sample before we order.
A written guarantee on the workmanship, plus the manufacturer cover on the materials. You get it on paper when we finish, not as a promise on the doorstep.
Ring Stanley and describe the roof. He will tell you straight whether it needs replacing now or whether it has a few more years in it.
