For a standard three bed semi you are usually into the low to mid thousands, depending on pitch, tile choice and whether the timbers underneath need work. Scaffolding is a big chunk of the number. Run your details through the calculator above for a proper range.
Most houses are stripped and re-covered in three to five working days once the scaffolding is up, weather allowing. You get a start date and a finish date in the quote.

Fully insured with public liability cover. The certificate goes out with your quote without you having to ask for it.
Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed in writing, on top of the manufacturer warranty on materials. Ask Stanley for the exact term for your job type.
No. The survey is free and there is no obligation. If we think the job does not need doing yet, we will tell you that instead of selling you one.
Yes. We photograph and document storm damage and provide a written report with an itemised quote in the format most insurers ask for.
Most small repairs are booked within a week or two. Larger jobs like a full re-roof, extension or loft conversion are usually scheduled a few weeks ahead so scaffolding and materials can be arranged. We give you a start date in the written quote.
No. We arrange scaffolding, access towers or cherry pickers as part of the job. It is included in the quote if it is needed.
If scaffolding is needed, it is itemised in the written quote. For some small repairs a ladder is enough, in which case there is no scaffolding charge.
For most domestic work we do not ask for a deposit. Payment is usually arranged in stages or on completion, depending on the size of the job. This is set out clearly in the quote.
The final payment is due on completion, once you are satisfied the agreed work has been done. For larger jobs we may agree stage payments, which are written into the quote.
Guarantees vary by job type. Roof repairs and re-roofs are typically covered for ten years. Specific materials come with their own manufacturer warranty on top. The exact term is written on your quote.
The guarantee does not cover storm damage, normal wear, problems caused by third-party work, or issues that develop because the property has not been maintained. We will explain this when we give you the guarantee.
We can supply photos, a written report and an itemised quote in the format insurers usually need. We do not negotiate the claim for you, but we can speak to your insurer directly if you ask us to.
Water coming through the ceiling, a slipped tile exposing the felt, a loose chimney pot after high winds, or anything that could let water in or make the roof unsafe. Call the mobile on 07426 293716 for emergencies.
Emergency callouts outside normal hours may carry a charge, which we tell you before we come out. The priority is making it watertight and safe, then we quote properly for the permanent repair.
Some loft conversions fall under permitted development, but many need planning permission or building regulations approval. We can advise based on the type of work and help with the drawings and applications if needed.
Yes. We can source standard tiles, slates, flat-roof membranes and other materials, or fit ones you have already chosen. Some choices affect the price and lead time, so we factor that into the quote.
Yes, we work on listed buildings and in conservation areas. We use appropriate materials and methods, such as matching existing tiles and lime mortar, and we can liaise with conservation officers if required.
Yes, where the original construction used lime mortar we use lime or a compatible mortar. Cement can trap moisture in old walls and cause damage, so we match the building.
We cover roughly 25 miles from our base on Crowland Road, including Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech, March and the surrounding villages. If you are just outside that, it is still worth asking.
